Why us
Sub-Zero built-ins need careful diagnosis and service that respects your kitchen.
Cooling systems, controls and door seals are what we check all week. The failure patterns are familiar before the panel is off.
Common sensors, fans, door gaskets and control parts ride with the technician.
A firm price on site. It does not change once work starts.
Parts and labor, in writing. Same fault inside that window and we return at no charge.
A warm column is not a next-week problem. Same-day slots are held open across metro Chicago, including weekends.
Columns and integrated panels come out and go back without marking your cabinetry.

Food in the refrigerator was getting warm, even though the freezer was still cold.
The refrigerator display read 62°F while the freezer read 0°F, pointing to a problem in the fresh-food cooling section. The repair focused on the refrigerator evaporator and the small refrigerant tubing assembly connected to it. The large difference between the two displays made it important to separate the refrigerator fault from the freezer's operation. The evaporator and its capillary assembly are part of the fresh-food refrigerant circuit, so this required cooling-system work rather than a simple adjustment to the controls.
The refrigerator evaporator coil and capillary/heat-exchanger assembly were replaced as part of the cooling service. The procedure included removing air and moisture from the system, adding refrigerant, checking for leaks and testing the cooling system. The replacement assembly was connected with attention to the refrigerant tubing and service joints. A vacuum and recharge prepared the circuit for use, and leak and operating checks were part of confirming that the repaired section could cool the refrigerator again.
Refrigerator evaporator coil; capillary/heat-exchanger assembly; vacuum and refrigerant recharge; leak and operation checks.
The refrigerator section began cooling normally after its cooling-system repair. The freezer remained cold, and the appliance was checked as both compartments returned to regular use.

The customer called because the wine cooler needed repair.
The lower front service area was opened to reach the refrigeration system. The work focused on the compressor and filter drier, rather than on shelves or door hardware. Compressor service opens the refrigerant circuit, so the filter drier and preparation steps are part of the same repair. The lower access area provides the connections needed to handle that work while keeping it distinct from a door or cabinet adjustment.
The service covered compressor and filter-drier replacement, refrigerant removal, a vacuum to clear air and moisture and a refrigerant recharge. These steps form a cooling-system repair rather than routine cabinet cleaning. The replacement components were attended to through the lower service area, followed by preparation of the circuit for its refrigerant charge. Tube and electrical connections needed to be secure before startup, and the service panels were restored once operating checks were complete.
Compressor; filter drier; refrigerant removal, vacuum and recharge; 12-month replacement-service warranty.
The wine cooler was running and cooling normally again. Its operation was checked after the compressor service, and it was ready to return to regular wine storage.

The refrigerator and freezer needed service because their cooling performance was not satisfactory.
The cooling assembly required access to the compressor, condenser, copper lines and evaporator. An earlier freezer display reading was high. The repair covered several refrigeration components rather than a single door or lighting issue. This involved the lower refrigeration assembly and multiple connected components. Replacing the compressor and condenser affects the refrigerant circuit, while the heater line and filter must be handled with attention to their connections and placement within the same service area.
The compressor, condenser, heater line and filter were replaced as part of the service, followed by a refrigerant recharge. The procedure included connecting the new components and checking system operation and cooling performance. The refrigeration assembly was rebuilt around the replacement components, and the circuit was prepared for its new refrigerant charge. Electrical and tube connections were checked before startup, allowing the cooling response to be assessed after the lower service area was reassembled.
Compressor; condenser; heater line; filter; refrigerant recharge; cooling-system checks. Service was supplied without a warranty.
The refrigerator and freezer were cold again, with the display showing 37 and 00 after service. The appliance was checked and returned to use with both compartments working.

Model: 661/OService area: Chicago metro
The refrigerator needed attention to its door seals and general running condition.
The lower door gasket was damaged, and the machinery compartments were heavily dusty. The condenser fan assembly also needed replacement. Poor sealing lets warm air into the cabinet, while a dirty condenser area makes it harder for the refrigerator to release heat. The lower gasket damage affected the closing edge, while the fan service involved the upper machinery compartment. Treating the seal and fan as separate tasks kept the repair focused on both cabinet closure and removal of heat from the condenser.
Two door gaskets were replaced as part of the maintenance service. The dusty condenser fan assembly was removed, and a replacement motor was installed in the upper compartment. The work combined sealing repairs with fan and cleaning service. The replacement gaskets were fitted around their door edges, and the new fan motor was secured in its upper service position. Electrical connections and cover placement needed attention before reassembly, followed by a check of the doors and appliance operation.
Two door gaskets; condenser fan motor; refrigerator maintenance.
The refrigerator doors sealed properly, and the new fan ran normally. The appliance was checked after maintenance and was ready to keep food cold again.

The process
Four things we commit to, in order.
01
By phone or through the form. We ask what the appliance is doing and for the model number off the plate, so the parts it is likely to need are already on the truck when the technician arrives.
02
We confirm the window when you book, then text you when the technician sets off.
03
The technician diagnoses on site and writes the price down, including any part that has to be ordered. It does not change once work starts.
04
Parts and labor are covered up to one year, written on your invoice. If the same fault comes back inside that window, we return at no charge.
Something else in the kitchen acting up? The technician is already there, so the second unit is looked at on the same visit.
Common faults
From temperature swings to noisy fans, we trace the fault before recommending a repair.
A warm compartment can point to airflow, a fan, a sensor or the sealed system. We check the cause before replacing parts.
Frost around the door or back panel may come from a worn gasket, defrost component or blocked airflow.
Water supply, filters, inlet valves and the ice maker itself all need checking before a part is ordered.
Unstable wine storage temperature can come from airflow, sensors or the cooling system.
A new rattle or hum may come from a fan, mounting point or compressor. The sound and timing help narrow it down.
A blocked drain, water line or ice maker connection may be responsible. We locate the source before repair.
Error messages are a starting point. We verify the affected sensor or component on the unit.
Custom panels are heavy. Once hinges wear, the door can stop closing square and affect the seal and temperature.

Questions
Answered by our dispatch team.
Check that the door closes fully and the vents are clear. If the temperature keeps rising, book a diagnosis so we can check airflow, controls and the cooling system.
Yes. We diagnose built-in refrigeration, wine storage and ice makers. Please share the model number when you book.
That is normal and useful. Each column runs its own sealed system, so the fault is inside the warm unit alone and the search narrows immediately.
We identify parts from the model and serial number on your unit and confirm availability before ordering.
The technician diagnoses the unit on site and hands you a firm written price before any work begins. It does not change once the work starts.
Usually yes. Replacing a built-in means the cabinetry opening, the panels and the water line all have to work with the new unit, which turns a repair into a kitchen job. If yours is past sensible repair, the technician will say so on site.
Call or send us your ZIP code when you book. We will confirm service availability for your address and the next appointment window.
