The refrigerator needed to be moved so damaged flooring underneath it could be repaired.
The built-in unit had to be detached before the flooring crew could move it. Its upper machinery arrangement and connection to wall wiring made this more involved than simply pulling out a freestanding refrigerator. The surrounding kitchen was already undergoing floor work.
The built-in refrigerator was prepared for removal by freeing the installation connections and attending to the surrounding fit and alignment. Its upper machinery arrangement and wall connection required careful handling while it was detached. Placement adjustments were part of the service so the flooring area could be accessed without treating the appliance as a freestanding unit.
Built-in refrigerator detachment; removal and placement adjustment.
The refrigerator was ready for the flooring work beneath it. Its placement and connection points were checked so the next stage of the room repair could proceed safely.

Water was leaking onto the floor around the refrigerator and freezer, raising concern about damage to the flooring.
The installation has separate refrigerator and freezer columns. Service focused on the freezer's ice maker and the valve that supplies it with water. Debris and staining were present in the lower machinery area, which needed attention during the leak repair. The ice maker needs a controlled fill from the inlet valve, followed by freezing and ice release. Attention to both assemblies was appropriate because water can escape from supply connections or an ice-maker fill problem without a failure in the refrigerator's separate cooling circuit.
A replacement ice-maker assembly was installed, with its wiring connector adapted to the appliance. The water inlet valve was also replaced in the lower compartment. This work addressed the water supply and ice-making components involved in the service visit. The valve connections and adapted ice-maker wiring were secured as part of fitting the replacements. The lower service area was tidied so the water connections remained accessible and any fresh moisture could be noticed during the final check.
Ice-maker assembly; water inlet valve; wiring connector preparation.
The freezer's ice-making equipment was back in place and working normally. The water connections stayed dry during the check, leaving no fresh water around the base.

The refrigerator had started making a loud, unusual noise.
Frost had collected around the freezer light area, and the freezer's heater, thermostat and timer needed service access. Dust had also built up in the upper condenser compartment. The repair therefore covered frost control as well as cleaning the area that releases heat. The heater clears frost from the coil, the thermostat limits heater operation and the timer controls when defrost begins. Servicing these together addressed the frost-control system as a whole, while cleaning the dusty condenser dealt with a separate maintenance need.
The defrost heater, thermostat and timer were replaced at their service points, with attention to the wiring and the thermostat's position at the coil. The freezer covers were then restored, leaving the internal air path clear. Packed dust was removed from the upper condenser so it could release heat properly. The refrigerator was restarted and its running condition checked, with time allowed for both compartments to recover their normal temperatures after service.
Defrost heater; thermostat; defrost timer; condenser cleaning.
The refrigerator was back in operation, and its running condition was checked after reassembly. Full cooling was allowed to recover over the next 24 hours so both compartments could settle back to normal.

The wine cooler says “service,” and the temperature will not come down even though it is switched on.
A thick layer of dust covered the condenser coil in the lower machinery compartment. This coil releases heat from the cooling system, so blocked fins make it difficult for the cabinet to cool effectively. We also found a problem in the control and compressor starting components. The start relay and capacitor help the compressor begin running, while the control board manages its operation; faults in this circuit can leave the cooler calling for cooling without completing a normal cycle.
We opened the lower service area and carefully removed dust from the condenser fins and surrounding air passages. The control board, start relay and capacitor were replaced, and their electrical connections were secured before power was restored. We checked compressor startup, fan operation and the temperature response in the wine cabinet. During the same visit, we also cleaned the condenser coil on the Thermador refrigerator to improve its ability to release heat.
Control board; compressor start relay and capacitor; Sub-Zero and Thermador condenser cleaning; cooling operation checks.
The wine cooler started cooling again and the service warning was addressed. Both appliances were checked after the work, and the customer was advised to keep the lower vents clear so heat can escape properly.

The process
Four things we commit to, in order.
01
By phone or through the form. We ask what the appliance is doing and for the model number off the plate, so the parts it is likely to need are already on the truck when the technician arrives.
02
We confirm the window when you book, then text you when the technician sets off.
03
The technician diagnoses on site and writes the price down, including any part that has to be ordered. It does not change once work starts.
04
Parts and labor are covered up to one year, written on your invoice. If the same fault comes back inside that window, we return at no charge.
Something else in the kitchen acting up? The technician is already there, so the second unit is looked at on the same visit.
Common faults
From temperature swings to noisy fans, we trace the fault before recommending a repair.
A warm compartment can point to airflow, a fan, a sensor or the sealed system. We check the cause before replacing parts.
Frost around the door or back panel may come from a worn gasket, defrost component or blocked airflow.
Water supply, filters, inlet valves and the ice maker itself all need checking before a part is ordered.
Unstable wine storage temperature can come from airflow, sensors or the cooling system.
A new rattle or hum may come from a fan, mounting point or compressor. The sound and timing help narrow it down.
A blocked drain, water line or ice maker connection may be responsible. We locate the source before repair.
Error messages are a starting point. We verify the affected sensor or component on the unit.
Custom panels are heavy. Once hinges wear, the door can stop closing square and affect the seal and temperature.

Questions
Answered by our dispatch team.
Check that the door closes fully and the vents are clear. If the temperature keeps rising, book a diagnosis so we can check airflow, controls and the cooling system.
Yes. We diagnose built-in refrigeration, wine storage and ice makers. Please share the model number when you book.
That is normal and useful. Each column runs its own sealed system, so the fault is inside the warm unit alone and the search narrows immediately.
We identify parts from the model and serial number on your unit and confirm availability before ordering.
The technician diagnoses the unit on site and hands you a firm written price before any work begins. It does not change once the work starts.
Usually yes. Replacing a built-in means the cabinetry opening, the panels and the water line all have to work with the new unit, which turns a repair into a kitchen job. If yours is past sensible repair, the technician will say so on site.
Call or send us your ZIP code when you book. We will confirm service availability for your address and the next appointment window.
